If your company uses a lead-to-account workflow, you will want to set up your Lead Fields to track the lead's progress in Nimble.

Lead Fields will appear on the contact record. Though Nimble offers default lead type, status, and source options, you can create your own to better track your lead's progress and meet business goals.

If you want to add leads to the pipeline, take a look at the following support article as this article only covers lead fields.

Viewing Lead Details on a Contact Record

Open a contact record and view "Lead Fields". Here, you'll see the option to select a Lead Type, Lead Status, and Lead Source.

To select an option, simply click the hyperlink text beside Type, Status, and Source. Nimble will display a list of default Lead Details.

How to Create Your Own Lead Values

Nimble also enables you to create custom select box values for your contact's Lead Fields. This can be done within Settings >> Data Fields menu.

Under "Additional Lead Fields", you will see “lead type”, “lead source” and “lead status” which are customizable.

When you click on these boxes, Nimble will display “Select Box Values”. You can add a value by clicking the plus symbol (+) and delete a value by clicking the trash can icon.

These values will now be available to select on the contact record, in the "Lead Fields" section.

You may then choose your new value from the drop-down options.

Importing Leads in Bulk

Once these Lead Details have been created in Nimble, you can add them to your CSV file for bulk uploads. Here’s an example of how they should appear in your CSV file:

Please note, all select box fields in Nimble (including Lead Details) are case sensitive, and must appear in your CSV file exactly as they appear in your created values in Nimble. This means that if your lead type is "Hot Lead" in Nimble, your CSV file must also display the lead type as "Hot Lead", with the capital "H" and "L", or the data won't import.

Once you have your lead details defined in your CSV import, add it to the Nimble Import Wizard.

After your import is finished, create a segment based on your lead values.

Once your segment is saved, you may return to it at any time from the left-hand side of the Contacts tab.
