Please be aware that:
 

1) To related a contact to an event in Nimble, that contact must have an email address.

2) When you create an event related to a contact, that contact will automatically be added as a guest. The guests will not receive an email invitation but will see the event you created on their Google calendars if the email addresses are google accounts.
