Nimble offers the ability to keep track of and delegate leads and customers to your team by way of contact ownership. Doing so enables your team to organize their contacts by ownership, take bulk actions, send group messages, and set follow-up tasks.

Get Started with Contact Ownership

Applying contact ownership to an individual contact

To get started, go to a contact record. Under "Lead Details" you'll see "Owner". From here, click on "Unassigned" and choose your team member's name from the dropdown list.

Once ownership has been assigned, only the owner or the administrator of the account will be able to change ownership.

Applying contact owner to a group of contacts

To update the ownership field for a select group of contacts, simply choose the contacts. You will then see the options to apply contact ownership changes in bulk.

In the bottom right hand corner, a message will display stating the following when completed: "Owner operation on ### contacts has finished.

Click "Update list with changes" to see the modifications.

When running a CSV import, you will now see the option to apply a contact owner to the list of contacts. This option is available on the third page of the import process.

For more information, please take a look at the following: Nimble CSV Import Wizard

Use Segmentation to pull a list of contacts by "Owner" to take smart actions

Segmentation enables you to search across many data fields to help you organize your contacts into lists. Get started by visiting your Contacts tab and clicking within the search bar.

To the left, click "Add Filter", choose "All Contact Filters" >> "Contact Info", and select "Contact Owner".

You can now select a user on your account. The list of contacts that the user owns will now display.

You can now perform smart actions such as setting stay in touch reminders, exporting to CSV, or sending a targeted group message.
