This article provides an overview of browser and desktop notifications in the Nimble platform, allowing you to stay up-to-date with notifications, such as new leads, appointments, task due dates, and more, directly from your browser or desktop (Chrome and Safari users only).

This feature provides you with crucial information that helps you optimize your workflows, prioritize tasks, and stay updated on important events.

How do I enable notifications?

To get started, go to Settings >> Notifications in your account. You'll then see the feature you can receive notifications for. Under Browser/Desktop check the boxes to enable this notification.

Please note: Desktop notifications are only available for Chrome and Safari (OSX)

You'll receive Desktop Notifications When:

  • Someone Opens a Group Message

  • Someone Clicks a Hyperlink in a Group Message

  • Someone opens/clicks on a message sent via Gmail

  • Someone has Assigned you a Task

  • Someone Comments on a Task

  • A webform assignee change occurred

  • A response to your web form

  • A watched email hasn't received a reply or when a new reply is recorded

  • Someone interacts with your activities

How to Ensure Notifications are Properly Set in Chrome

You will need to double-check your Google Chrome settings to make sure you will be able to allow desktop notifications.

Go to chrome://settings/content and under "Notifications" make sure that the option for "Sites can ask to send notifications" is enabled.

In-App Notification Stream

Sometimes, you may not have time to react to all notifications at once. Visit the Bell from any tab within the Nimble Web App to see a stream of all your most recent notifications.

Muting notifications

You may mute notifications for 24 hours, 48 hours, or permanently.

The "Mute" option will appear for in-app notifications as well as Gmail and desktop notifications.
