How to Get The Most Out Of Twitter With Nimble
As of April 2023, Twitter has discontinued the API that had been a backbone for the thriving third-party developer community, including Nimble, for over a decade. Due to these alterations in the Twitter API, we cannot sustain the Twitter social signal functionalities within Nimble. Instead, we encourage the use of Nimble Prospector to oversee interactions on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social networks.
Although this API adjustment curtails Nimble's ability to showcase Twitter messages and notifications internally, Nimble's continued strength lies in its capability to auto-map Twitter profiles and present pertinent profile data within Nimble’s web app as well as inside Nimble Prospector and Nimble Mobile.
Rest assured, Nimble remains a powerhouse for providing deep insights and intelligence regarding your contacts. Here's a rundown of how these changes might influence your Nimble experience and how Nimble remains invaluable as your main relationship management tool:
What does this mean for Nimble users?
You will be able to add a Twitter URL to a contact record which will hyperlink to the profile
You will be able to use our Nimble Prospector App to gather insights on your Twitter connections and add them to your Nimble account
You will still receive social profile suggestions for Twitter
You will not be able to bulk import your Twitter contacts into Nimble
Notifications and messages will not sync from your Twitter account to Nimble.
Add Twitter Handle To The Contact Record
To add a Twitter handle to the contact record, go to the Data Fields sub-tab and scroll to the Social section. Click the pencil icon to edit then add the handle in the Twitter field.
Social Profile Suggestions
On a contact record, you will see the section "Is this your contact too?" We will suggest social profiles that may be your contact. Click the green checkmark to add the profile to the contact record.
Using the Prospector App on Twitter
Take Nimble with you online using the Nimble Prospector App. This app enables you to gather insights on your potential leads and add them to your Nimble account with their Twitter profile.
