To master the details of email sequences, including understanding delays, conditions, and global conditions, check out the following article: Setup Email Sequences

Setup Email Sequence Templates

To choose an email sequence template, visit the Sequences tab and click "New Sequence". A list of templates specific to your industry will be displayed.

When you select a preset template, you'll have access to Message Actions with customizable email templates. Additionally, Global Condition Stats are periodically checked while contacts are in the sequence and before any messages are sent.

For example, if you choose the "Welcome Message" template, you'll see the following set of unique Message Actions and Global Condition Stats.

Message Actions are messages that are automatically sent to contacts enrolled in the sequence. When using a template, Nimble will provide a generic email template that can be used to send to each enrolled contact. These email templates are customizable.

Global conditions in a sequence are overarching rules that influence the behavior of the entire sequence. They are checked every hour while contact(s) are in the sequence, and before sending any message. You can add and remove any of the global conditions set by the template aside from Unsubscribed and Bounced.

Once you have decided on a template, click "Use Template". You'll then be able to rename the template and choose either the template should be shared with your team.

Modify Sequence Templates

Once you have selected your template, you can make any changes to the template that you need to fit your business needs.

Message Action

To make changes to any of the message actions, simply click on the action and then select the pencil icon. This allows you to edit various fields, such as the Subject Line, To and From fields, and the body of the message.

Make sure to click "Save Message" to keep the changes.

You can also click the trashcan icon to delete the message and start fresh by creating a new one.

If you like the email templates provided in the sequence and want to use them elsewhere in Nimble, simply click "Save as Template" under Editor Commands to save it as a new template.

Delays

The template will automatically insert its own delay rules after a message. If you need more or less time before the next message is sent, hover over the delay and click the pencil icon to adjust it.

Conditions

Conditions are like checkpoints that come after a message is sent, and they're checked before moving on to the next step in the sequence.

To add conditions that will exit your contact as successful or unsuccessful, click "Add" where you want the condition to be.

For example, if you want to exit contacts as successful after they have clicked on your link, you can set a condition to check for this after the message is sent.

You can add as many conditions, delays, and messages as you need to flesh out your sequence. To do this, just click "Add" anywhere in the sequence.

Global Conditions

Global conditions in a sequence are overarching rules that influence the behavior of the entire sequence. They are checked every hour while contact(s) are in the sequence, and before sending any message.

By default, Nimble will set Unsubscribed and Bounce global conditions which cannot be removed.

But you can add global conditions of your own in Edit mode. Just click "Add Global Conditions" and then set up rules for exiting contacts from the sequence.

Please note: BOUNCED emails may not appear immediately as Nimble will sync new messages based on your active session. To expedite the process, visit your Message tab and click the REFRESH icon at the top.

When you've made all the changes you need, click "Publish" at the top and start adding contacts to your sequence.
