Revenue forecasting allows you to predict future revenue based on current deals in your sales pipeline. This will help your sales team see the projected value of your pipeline relative to the coming months, quarters and years.

The Nimble's Revenue Forecast widget for the Today Page dashboard, can be incredibly valuable when trying to make informed business decisions. For example, if you forecast a significant increase in revenue, you may want to hire more salespeople or invest in new products.

Revenue Forecast - See how well your pipeline is projected to perform. This reports displays all deals open or won by the chosen user, in the selected pipeline(s), whose close date (if applicable) fall within the specified time period.

To alter the information that is pulled for the report, just click Filters to make quick changes. You can make changes to the date range, time period, time grouping and pipeline. When you refresh the page, the widget will reset to the original filters. To set permanent filters for each widget, read on.

Accessing the Revenue Forecast Widget

Go to the “Manage Widgets” menu on your Today Page dashboard and then select “Revenue Forecast” to make it visible in your account.

Once added, you can drag and drop the widget around the Today page until it's in the desired spot.

You can set default filters for this widget by clicking "Filters" and selecting from the drop-down list.
