Nimble's newly released feature enables you to add multiple values to your custom fields, allowing for flexibility in tracking and analyzing data. With this advanced tool, you can capture more detailed information and have a more comprehensive understanding of each contact. Our multiple value selection feature also simplifies data management and reporting, ensuring that you can make more informed decisions about your business strategy.

For example, if you wanted to track a contact's interests and hobbies separately from their professional activities, you would simply create a custom field. However, if the contact has multiple hobbies (gardening, hiking, and swimming), you can create a custom field with the option to select multiple values instead of choosing just one.

In this article, we'll cover creating custom fields with multiple values, adding those fields to a contact record, and using Segmentation to locate those fields.

See the video:

Creating Multivalued Custom Fields

To get started, visit Settings >> Data Fields and click "Add New Tab". After naming your tab, you can then add fields.

When adding fields you'll see the option to "Allow Multiple Values". This option cannot be changed after creation.

Full details for creating custom fields can be found here: Custom Data Fields

This option is available on most Field Types, excluding the True/False Flag as only one option can be selected in this case.

Choosing Multiple Values on the Contact Record

To update the fields, visit the contact record and go to the Data Field sub-tab. Locate the custom tab and update the fields of your choice. You can then select multiple values for the field.

Perform Multivalue Search

Use Segmentation as an advanced search and locate custom fields with multivalues. To do this, visit your Contacts tab and click "Segment Search". Then click "Add Contact Filter" and search for the field.

Choose "In" or "Not In" to select multiple options.

By better understanding each contact's unique interests and needs, you can tailor your messaging and offerings to better meet their needs.

Overall, multiple values in custom fields can help you better understand your contacts, personalize your outreach, and make data management more efficient as you scale your business.
