Why Add Nimble Web Chat to your website?

Nimble Web Chat helps you connect with visitors the moment they need your support. It gives your visitors a quick way to ask questions, request help, or leave a message through a simple chat interface.

Embed Your Web Chat

To get the web chat embed code, follow these steps:

  1. Click the specific Web Chat from your list of available chats.

  2. At the top of the page, click Set up Instructions.

  3. A dialog box will confirm your chat is created and provide the JavaScript code snippet to embed it on your website.

Finalize the setup by copying the provided JavaScript code and pasting the snippet into the HTML of every page where you want the chat to appear. A chat button will appear in the bottom corner of your website, allowing visitors to start a conversation with you at any time.

Integrating Nimble Web Chat With Popular Website Builders

You can embed Nimble Web Chat on platforms like Wix, Shopify, and Squarespace in just a few steps. The process is nearly the same for any web site that allows custom HTML.

Let’s walk through the setup using real examples.

Adding Nimble Web Chat to Wix

Open your Wix website editor and navigate to the page where you want to add the web chat. From there, take the following steps:

  1. Click the ‘+’ (Add) button at the top left corner.

  2. Select ‘Embed’ from the menu and choose ‘Embed HTML’ from the available options.

  3. Copy your Nimble web chat embed code and paste it into the HTML settings window.

  4. Click Update to preview the web chat.

Adding Nimble Web Chat to Squarespace

Here’s how to add Nimble Web Chat using Squarespace’s built-in Code Injection feature:

  1. Log in to your Squarespace account and in the left menu click Pages.

  2. Scroll down and select Code Injection.

  3. Paste your Nimble Web Chat code into the Header field.

  4. Save your changes to apply the chat widget site-wide.

Adding Nimble Web Chat to Shopify

Once you log into your Shopify admin dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes.

  2. Find your active theme and click the three-dot menu next to Customize.

  3. Select Edit code from the dropdown.

  4. In the file list, locate and open theme.liquid.

  5. Paste your Nimble Web Chat embed code just before the closing </body> tag at the bottom of the file.

Your Nimble Web Chat should now be active on your Shopify store.
