Building a strong email list isn’t just about numbers - it’s about reaching out to real, engaged contacts who truly want to hear from you. Nimble Double Opt-In feature for Email Lists makes this really easy by asking new subscribers to confirm their email address before joining.

What is Nimble Double Opt-in?

With Nimble Double Opt-in, you add an extra layer of security to your email lists by ensuring every subscriber is genuine and interested in hearing from you.

When a contact is added to your email list, they receive a confirmation email with a secure link. Only after clicking the link are they officially included in your list. This smart approach helps you:

  • Keep your lists clean and accurate

  • Prevent spam and fake sign-ups

  • Stay compliant with email regulations

  • Build stronger trust with your subscribers

How to Enable Double Opt-in for your Email Lists

To enable the double opt-in for your email list, take the next steps:

  1. Navigate to the Outbound >> Email lists tab in Nimble

  2. Open the Email list you wish to update with double opt-in

  3. Click the Settings button in the top-right corner

  4. In the settings, toggle on the Enable Double Opt-in to the right

In the message composer, you can customize your 'from' address and confirmation email by editing the message subject and text, changing fonts, adding attachments, links, or images, and including the required Nimble confirmation link.

*** Note: Confirm links do not expire unless the entire list is archived in your Nimble account.

How This Works in Practice

When the Double Opt-in is enabled, the contacts you add to the list receive an automatic confirmation email from you.

After subscribers confirm their subscription, they’ll start receiving your emails. With Double Opt-in enabled, Nimble only sends campaigns to those confirmed contacts.
