As you migrate your data to Nimble, you may notice that some entries have been added as contacts when they should be companies or vice versa. When this happens, Nimble provides a quick and effective way to convert a contact to a company from the contact record.

With the Company Conversion capability, you can easily change a Contact to a Company (and vice versa) directly from a Nimble contact record.

How to Change a Contact to a Company

From the Nimble contact record, select the three dots at the top of the screen. Scroll down to the β€œConvert to Company” option.

NOTE: When converting a Contact to a Company, the "Organization" and "Title" fields will be lost.

You can also change a Company to a Contact using the same steps.

Changing a Contact to a Company from the Nimble Prospector Browser Extension

In addition to changing a Contact to a Company from the contact record, you can also update the record type directly from the Nimble Prospector app.

The steps are similar to those for changing the record type from the contact record. Simply click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the browser extension and select the "Convert to Company" option.
