Why Email Verification Is Needed?

Verifying email addresses before sending messages is essential for several reasons. By taking the verification steps, you can:

  • Reduce bounce rates and ensure your emails are delivered to real inboxes.

  • Improve overall deliverability, as verified addresses increase the chances your messages will be opened.

  • Avoid penalties and compliance issues caused by excessive bounces.

  • Save time and resources by focusing only on contacts that actually exist.

  • Protect your sender reputation, since high bounce rates negatively affect it.

How to Verify Email Lists in Nimble

Let’s see how Email List verification works in action!

To verify subscriber's email addresses take the following steps:

  1. Go to the Outbound tab >> Email Lists

  2. Open the email list

  3. Select the email addresses you wish to verify

  4. Click Verify Selected Emails to start the verification process

Note: When you add an email address to a list, it is initially assigned an Unknown status. After verification, Nimble evaluates the address and assigns an appropriate status based on its validity:

  • Unverified - the email address could not be validated, so its deliverability is uncertain.

  • Bounced - emails sent to this address were returned by the recipient’s server, indicating that the address is likely invalid or unable to receive messages.

  • Risky - the email may be invalid or unreliable. Consider excluding it from your campaign

  • Confident - the email has been verified and is safe to include in campaigns

  • Deliverable - Nimble has a record of successful delivery to this email. It is highly reliable

**** Email addresses marked as Unverified should be treated with caution, as their deliverability cannot be confirmed. You may want to consider removing them from your list.

**** If an email address has already been verified in one list, the same status will automatically appear in any other list where it is added—no additional verification is required.

After running the check, you can manually remove any email addresses that are not reliable for sending by selecting them and clicking 'Remove from the list'.

If you’d like to select all emails with a specific status, click Multi-select, choose Select by status, and then pick the desired status from the list.

Billing Details for Email List Verification

The Email List Verification feature is available through Nimble Enrichment credits. You can buy credits at $10 per each 1,000 credits. Each email verification will deduct 2 credits per email from your account.

To add more credits to your account, take the following steps:

  1. Visit Settings>>Billing

  2. Scroll to Enrichment credits and click 'Add more credits'

***Note:

  • Enrichment credits expire at the end of your billing cycle and do not carry over. Be sure to choose only the number of credits you’ll use before then.

  • In team accounts, enrichment credit management is handled by the account admin.
