Text templates in Nimble help you send consistent, personalized messages faster. Whether you’re following up with leads, welcoming new clients, or sharing resources, templates make it easy to stay professional and save time. Now, with the ability to organize them into groups, you’ll always have the right message ready when you need it.

Learn more about the advantages of creating email templates and organizing them into groups in our support article: Get Started with Nimble Email Templates and Groups.

Getting Started

To get started with setting up the text templates, take the following steps:

  1. go to the Outreach tab >> Email Templates

  2. select ‘Add Template’ in the top-right corner

  3. In the Use a Template window, select Create Text Template from Scratch.

*** You can also choose one of Nimble’s ready-made templates and customize it to suit your needs. For this, simply click on Ready-made templates from the top and select a text template from the list on the left:

Hover to use or preview a template and see if it’s right for you:

The list also includes ready-made designed templates, which you can use for your marketing outreach campaigns. Learn more about creating designed templates in Nimble in our support article: Nimble’s Email Builder for Design Templates Overview.

Building Your Template

Once inside the Email Builder, you can start composing your template:

  • Give your template a name - enter a clear, descriptive name that your team will easily recognize and understand.

  • Add a subject line – to personalize it for each of your recipients, use Merge Tags by clicking ‘add merge tags’ button in the subject line from the right-hand side. Merge tags can also be used in the email body for a more tailored message.

Learn how to add Nimble merge tags to your messages and templates in this support article: Merge Tags for Individual and Group Messages.

  • Use the text editor to write your message - you can format text, insert links or images, and attach files such as PDFs, images or other resources.

  • Use Editor Commands in the message composer - you can adjust font style and size, insert your signature, include links to Nimble webforms, and add an unsubscribe link.

Please, note: Nimble now offers the function of category-based unsubscribes which helps your recepients unsubscribe only from certain email categories while still receiving the updates they find most valuable. Learn more here: Creating Category-Based Unsubscribes in Nimble.

For best results, we recommend creating templates in Nimble from scratch, as copy-and-paste functionality is not currently supported.

Once you’re ready with your template, click Save in the bottom-right corner. The template will now appear in your template list, ready to use for one-to-one emails, group messages and email sequences.
