Nimble’s New AI Sequences Feature

Learn how Nimble AI Sequences helps you save time and build personalized, multi-step follow-up sequences with automated emails and human touches.

Written by Nimble Customer Care

Consistent follow-up is how relationships turn into revenue — but it typically takes 5 to 8 touches to reach a prospect, and most people stop after one or two. Building a good multi-step sequence by hand can take 30 to 60 minutes, and blasting the same email at everyone stopped working a long time ago.

Nimble AI Sequences lets you describe the outcome you want in a single prompt sentence and have Nimble build the entire follow-up sequence for you — the automated emails and the human touches, timed, ordered, and written in your voice.

What Are AI Sequences?

AI Sequences is an AI-powered sequence builder inside Nimble. Instead of building a sequence step by step, you describe what you want to accomplish — for example, “Re-engage the cold leads from last quarter’s webinar and book intro calls; keep it warm, not pushy” — and Nimble generates a complete, multi-channel sequence: automated emails plus human tasks (a call, a text, a comment on a prospect’s post), each one timed and ordered, with email copy drafted in your voice.

It doesn’t just write the copy; it builds the structure — the steps, the delays, the exit conditions, and the task prompts. AI Sequences drafts the whole play — the automated emails and the human touches together, grounded in what you’ve told Nimble about your business.

How AI Sequences Work

A generated sequence is made of the same building blocks you’d assemble by hand — Nimble just assembles them for you.

You’ll see:

  • Automated email steps — written from your prompt and AI Context, with personalization placeholders for each contact.

  • Human tasks (Activities) — calls, texts, or LinkedIn touches scheduled between the emails, assigned to you or a teammate and tracked on the Contact Profile and your task list.

  • Delays — the wait between steps, so follow-ups stay paced rather than firing all at once.

  • Exit conditions — rules checked after each send — keep going, or exit the contact as Successful or Unsuccessful depending on whether they opened, clicked, replied, or bounced.

  • Branches — different paths for engaged versus unengaged contacts, so the right people get the right next step.

  • Workflow moves — the AI can suggest moving a contact to a pipeline stage as they progress — you confirm before it applies.

Note: LinkedIn touches and calls are tasks, not automated actions. AI Sequences provides the context and creates the task, but you still send LinkedIn messages or make calls yourself.

Two guardrails are always on: a contact who unsubscribes or whose email bounces automatically exits the sequence.

AI Context and Personalization

AI Context is where you give Nimble the information it needs to understand your business and how you work.

Team Context covers the company — industry, product, who you sell to, and brand guardrails. Personal Context covers you — your role, goals, and how you write.

AI Sequences draws on this context so every sequence already speaks to the right audience and sounds like you, without re-explaining your business each time.

  • Marketing teams — run lead-nurture, webinar, and re-engagement campaigns

  • Real estate agents — follow up quickly when timing matters

  • Sales teams — manage follow-up without dedicated ops or marketing support

  • Recruiters — keep candidate outreach warm over longer cycles

  • Nonprofit development and fundraising staff — manage donor and prospect follow-up

What Else You Should Know

  • How Are AI Sequences Different From Email Sequences and Sequence Activities?

Email Sequences and Sequence Activities let you build a sequence by hand — including scheduling human tasks like calls, texts, and LinkedIn comments beside your automated emails. AI Sequences builds that whole sequence for you from a single prompt: the structure, the timing, the conditions, the copy, and the task prompts. You still review and edit everything before it runs.

  • What Does AI Sequences Cost?

AI Sequences is included in every paid Nimble seat — no add-on, and no per-message credits.
