Nimble's AI Search makes it easier to find contacts and create segments without manually setting up multiple search filters. Simply describe the contacts you're looking for in everyday language, and Nimble AI will generate the appropriate filters based on your request.
You can review and adjust these filters before saving your search as a segment for future use.

What is AI Search?
AI Search is a new feature within Nimble's existing segmentation tool that allows you to build contact searches using natural language. Instead of building a search by adding filters one by one, you can simply describe who you're looking for, and Nimble AI will generate the search filters for you.
For example, you can enter: "Find people in Atlanta where email is not empty."
Nimble AI will translate your request into search filters and display the contacts that match your criteria. The generated filters appear in the regular segment builder, where you can review, edit, or remove them as needed.

How to Use AI Search
To get started, navigate to the Contacts tab in Nimble. From there, you can open the segment builder by clicking Segment Search at the top of the page or + Add Segment under My Segments. This will open the AI Search, where you can describe the contacts you're looking for.
For example, if you want to find founders and CEOs you met at a conference in Austin, you can simply describe the contacts you're looking for: "Find founders and CEOs in Austin tagged conference 2026 who have an email address."
After entering your request, click Find Contacts. Nimble AI will automatically generate the corresponding search filters and display the contacts that match your criteria.
For this example, Nimble generates the following filters:
Title — contains Founder or CEO
City — is Austin
Tags — includes conference 2026
Email — is not empty
These filters use the ALL condition, meaning contacts must meet every criterion to appear in the results. The generated filters appear in the segment builder alongside your matching contacts. You can further review and refine your search by changing existing conditions, removing filters, or adding new ones.
Saving Your Search as a Segment
Once you've found the contacts you're looking for and reviewed the filters, you can save your search for future use. Click Save This Search from the top and give your segment a descriptive name, such as "Austin Founders – Conference Follow-up."
The saved segment will appear in the Contacts tab, allowing you to return to the same search without rebuilding the filters.
Note: Saved segments are dynamic. They update automatically as contacts are added or their information changes. Any contact that matches your search criteria will appear in the segment.
Working with Your Search Results
Once you've created a segment, you can use Nimble's contact management features to:
Apply tags to organize your contacts.
Set Stay in Touch reminders to keep track of important relationships.
Add contacts to Group Messages or Email Sequences to reach out and manage follow-ups.
Share segments with your teammates to collaborate more easily.
